About Me
Hello and thanks for taking a look at some of my work. I am a high-school student and a nature photographer with a particular passion for taking photographs of reptiles, amphibians, and insects. Much of my photography is of reptiles, amphibians and insects found in the state parks and forest preserves of northern Illinois, where I live. I have, however, also been fortunate enough to be able to travel to many fascinating places throughout the country and take photos of the wildlife there (some of my favorite places for photography have been Shenandoah National Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge and Shawnee National Forest). As the subjects of my photos are often so small, much of my photography may be considered macro-photography. I often do get up close and personal with my subjects; for some of these shots, my camera was about a centimeter away from the subject.
